The University recognizes its commitment to protect and provide support to students, faculty, staff, and visitors in the event of significant interruption to the University’s mission or operations.

 

The goal of the Business Continuity Program is to continuously build and enhance the University’s resilience when faced with adverse events such as natural disasters. This entails implementing contingency plans surrounding critical operations, to ultimately ensure for speedy restoration and resumption of University services and operations.

 

Business Continuity Program Commitment

The Business Continuity Program is committed to its campus wide partners, and is readily available to assist campus departments to develop their own business continuity plans.  The process entails active partnership in the exploration of potential crisis or disasters that could have an impact on a business unit, and accordingly, the development of appropriate contingency plans to mitigate such, should the threat become a reality.

 

What is A Business Continuity Plan?

A business continuity plan (BCP) is a plan to help ensure that a business/operational processes can continue during a time of emergency or disaster. Such emergencies or disasters might include a fire, power outage or any situation whereby usual and customary business operations are unable to occur.
